For more than 30 years, ALP JAGD has stood for quality, innovation, and passion in hunting clothing and equipment. What once started as a small shop with mail order business some decades ago, has become a hunting outfitter well known beyond the borders of German speaking countries over the years. After the unexpected death of my life partner Franz Reinthaler, it is a heart related topic for me to continue the success story of ALP JAGD together with my team. Our customers can count on our many years of experience and expertise with which we serve them by phone, e-mail or directly in our store in Altheim, Upper Austria. Follow your passion!

1984
Founded by Mr. Erwin Stranzinger
Erwin Stranzinger initially started to trade hunting accessories and clothing on a small scale at the company´s former location in Mühlheim in Innkreis, Upper Austria.
1994
Renamed in ALP JAGD Stranzinger GmbH
The company previously operating under a different name, was officially renamed to ALP JAGD Stranzinger Limited. Product orders were accepted almost exclusively by phone or order cards at this time. The IT system had great potential for expansion.
2006
Take over by Franz Reinthaler
After working successfully in the logistic business for many years, Mr. Franz Reinthaler decided to change his career path and turn his passion „hunting“ into his new profession. He acquired the company ALP JAGD from Mr. Stranzinger. Mr. Reinthaler expanded the business quickly into one of the leading mail order businesses in the hunting sector.
2010
Relocation to a new building in Altheim, Upper Austria
More space was quickly needed, which is why the decision was made to build a new and much larger company building. At the end of 2010, the new company building with around 500 square meters of sales space and around 2,000 square meters of storage space was officially and ceremoniously opened in Altheim, Upper Austria.
2021
Take over by Maria Hölzl
After the unexpected death of Mr. Franz Reinthaler in December 2021, Maria Hölzl, his long-term life partner, took over the management of the company. It was clear for her from the very beginning that she would lead ALP JAGD with greatest passion and new ideas into a successful future.
2024
ALP JAGD with a new look
ALP JAGD is looking into the future and is starting with a completely new magazine concept. At the same time, we follow a new path and rely on a modern social media presence to share our passion for hunting directly with you.
We put greatest emphasis on uncompromising quality and first-class service in order to provide you a completely satisfying shopping experience via phone, online, or in our store in Altheim, Upper Austria.
